The daredevil tightrope walker Nik Wallenda is attempting his longest walk yet tonight at the Wisconsin State Fair, the Associated Press reports.

Wallenda has walked a high-wire over the Chicago River and between Marina City's iconic towers, traversed Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon, and he holds nine Guinness World Records. He will walk 1,576 feet over 10 stories above the Milwaukee Mile Speedway on the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds Tuesday night.

Reports say he will carry a 45-pound bar and wear shoes made by his mother to help with his balance. Wallenda is a member of the Flying Wallendas, a family high-wire troupe.
