There Are Still Tickets For The Delicious Mac & Cheese Fest This Weekend

Tickets are still available for the most mouthwatering event of the weekend: Mac & Cheese Fest at the UIC Forum.

Saturday's second-ever festival will feature all-you-can-taste mac and cheese from more than 50 local restaurants including Chicago Q, the Kerryman, Rockit and Michael Jordan's Steak House. The creative dishes range from Alaskan Red King Crab Mac & Cheese from Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House to Smoked Mac & Cheese w/ Wild Mushrooms from The Ogden.

The Golden Noodle award is at stake. Two dishes will win the honors for the ultimate mac & cheese. The South Loop's Kitty O'Sheas took it home last year.

General admission tickets are $60 plus Ticketmaster fees and VIP tickets are $100 plus Ticketmaster fees and both levels include five drink tickets. VIPs also get priority check-in, a festival t-shirt and access to the VIP secion.

Organizers expanded the offerings and split the festival into separate lunch and dinner sessions after last year's extravaganza sold out.

You can feel good about loading yourself with carbs and dairy: A portion of all proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.
