The 1985 Bears Get The ESPN '30 For 30' Treatment

Nearly 30 years after their Super Bowl victory, Chicago still hasn't gotten over the 1985 Bears—and now ESPN is getting nostalgic for the team, too. A documentary on the 1985 team, an installment in ESPN's Emmy-nominated 30 for 30 series, will premiere on Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. CST, the channel announced:
The team was known not only for its wins, but also for its larger than life personalities: cigar, restaurant and wine entrepreneur Mike Ditka; philanthropist and Hall of Famer Walter Payton; "the punky QB" Jim McMahon; Mike Singletary, son of a Pentecostal preacher; and former Romeoville mayoral candidate Steve McMichael.
Based on the trailer, the documentary will feature interviews with some of the greats and footage from their historic season.
