Kanye's Album 'SWISH' Is Now 'WAVES.' Will It Still Be Out On Time?

Is Kanye West just trolling us at this point? West's album SWISH was due to be released next week with a huge live debut at Madison Square Garden. We admit we've been waiting on pins and needles for his long-awaited follow up to Yeezus, especially since the musician was still finessing songs for the album in recent weeks. And the last night West decided he no longer like the title SWISH any longer.

And a few minutes ago he posted this, revealing WAVES has a setlist that appears to still be in flux.

We are pleased to see what appears to be a guest apperance by Chance the Rapper on that notepad.

So is the album still on track to be released next week? We don't know. That Madison Square Concert show was supposed to go on sale this morning but when we tried to dial it up to see if it already sold out, this is what appears (and there are no other shows for West listed on Ticketmaster's site). Which gives us a distinct sense of deja vu.

Did anyone out there get tickets, or did Kanye blow up the internet with that one? (TMZ claims the show is still on, but do we believe them?!)

We admit, that in this new age of album cycles—Rihanna is reportedly dropping her own long-awaited ANTI sometime, maybe, this week—it's possibly Kanye has just decided that, like most art, his album won't be done until it's done. Perhaps that's why he finally set that Feb. 11 deadline for himself. But it's just as likely West will decide that art doesn't hew to set rules, so we'll see what happens. Don't worry though, 'Ye assures us it'll be worth the wait.
