Logan Square is a scrappy neighborhood. You can't just remove its favorite billboard and expect the locals to take it sitting down. What are they supposed to look at when they stand in the square and face west now? The sky? Like chumps?

No. The Aloha billboard is going to make like The Revenant and COME BACK MAJESTICALLY, COVERED IN FOREST ICE. At least, there's a tiny chance it might, if enough people sign a Change.org petition titled "Bring the 'Aloha' Billboard Back to Logan Square!" (So far it has six signatures, but the night is young.)

Petition creator Erica S. writes in the petition description that locals have grown "terribly attached" to the signage, begging Visualcast (the company behind the billboard):

Please bring back the Aloha billboard. Not any other billboards. Just that one. As the Aloha billboard always reminded us, "Sometimes you have to say goodbye before you can say hello."

Alternate angle: The Aloha billboard should be able to attend its own one-year-anniversary-party-turned-wake, you know? Billboards are people too!
