Morrissey, former frontman for the Smiths and current lover of stirring up drama, has decided to play Riot Fest after all, according to a Thursday post on official Morrissey fan site True To You. This comes after an announcement on the same site, this past Monday, that he was "not" playing Riot Fest (italics his).

"Morrissey is confirmed to headline the Chicago Riot Fest on Saturday, September 17," reads Thursday's post, our most recent intel on this saga.

It's worth clicking through to the post, too, because the brief statement is followed by an image of Bruce Lee in Marlowe, trashing an office. Does Morrissey see himself as Bruce Lee, valiantly MMA-fighting the convention of saying you're playing a festival, and then never changing your mind, and then playing it?

Morrissey, who is infamous for canceling shows, was announced as a Riot Fest headliner in mid-May. The Monday post announcing he won't play Riot Fest is still on his site, too, because Morrissey doesn't hide from his contradictions.
