A 36-year-old man is in critical condition after being stabbed on a Red Line train in the South Loop Wednesday night, Chicago Police told Chicagoist. The stabbing happened at around 10 p.m. at the Roosevelt CTA station while the man was arguing with another man who pulled a knife.

Police described both men as homeless and say that the suspect hasn't been caught. The injured man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He suffered wounds to his left arm and his chest. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

This is the second stabbing to take place on the Red Line in recent months. In June, a 25-year-old woman was fatally stabbed on a train near the line's 47th Street station. In July, a 21-year-old woman was also stabbed on the Adams and Wabash CTA platform in the Loop.
