Last year, tickets for the Chicago Pizza Summit sold out in less than one hour, proving conclusively (as if we didn't already know) that Chicagoans love their pizza. Set your alarms: The event is back for another year, and tickets go on sale Thursday.

The event, co-sponsored by Old Style beer and Empty Bottle Presents, will take place inside the First Ward event space (at Chop Shop) on Sunday, April 9. Tickets for either the afternoon or evening session cost $35. What do you get for your cash? All you can eat pizza (the lineup of vendors hasn't been released yet), five beers and a fancy plate to take home. Plus, you get access to an exhibit by the U.S. Pizza Museum that was so popular last year that it ended up in Smithsonian Magazine and was extended for extra time past the event.

Tickets will be on sale here at noon on Thurdsday. Good luck!
