The redevelopment of Wrigleyville is moving ahead at full speed, and tons of new bar and restaurant options are coming to the neighborhood. Yesterday, news broke about one particularly exciting new bar, from the chef behind Yusho and Billy Sunday.

Eater Chicago reported that a new bar from Chef Matthias Merges (A-10, Yusho, Billy Sunday) is coming to Waveland and Clark. The bar is called Lucky Dorr Patio & Tap, and it's actually one of two projects Merges is bringing to Wrigleyville. The other, a cocktail bar in the new Hotel Zachary development, was previously announced - you may recall that the hotel will also boast the second location of Big Star.

No details about the bar yet, but we're excited to see Merges, who has had great success with both bars and casual restaurants, bring his talents to bear on a Wrigleyville patio and tap. Maybe we'll actually get some decent bar food within walking distance of the stadium - and there's no way the beers will cost $10.
