Monday was a good day in terms of hip-hop titans as they relate to Chicago. First came news that JAY-Z's teased 4:44 would be a reality, including a stop here in town. Now comes word that Kendrick Lamar's pop-up shop is coming to our city, the same date he's scheduled to play United Center, on July 27.

Kendrick tweeted out a link to the THEDAMNPOPUP.com on Friday, but there wasn't much to see until Monday. Now the site takes you to a spinning map with location details, plus a handy link to merch.

The Chicago pop-up, in support of Lamar's hyper-acclaimed latest LP, DAMN., will take up shop at Notre, at 118 N. Peoria St. (1N), from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m, on July 27. (Insert obligatory joke about Northbrook pop-ups here.) Lamar's DAMN. tour swings back in Chicago later this year, with an August 20 date, but there's no pop-up dates scheduled for then. Travis Scott and D.R.A.M. support the July date; YG and D.R.A.M. support the August show.
