The Chicago Blackhawks did some unveiling yesterday, first unveiling two of their bigger free agent signings this offseason to a crowd of fans at a press conference at the United Center and then unveiling their 2009-2010 schedule. New 'Hawks GM Stan Bowman introduced Marian Hossa and Tomas Kopecky, two big free agents that the 'Hawks swept from the Stanley Cup finalists Detroit Red Wings.
In addition to the press conference welcoming the two newest 'Hawks, the NHL also released their 2009-2010 schedule. As we've mentioned before, the 'Hawks open next season on the road in Helsinki with a two game set against the Florida Panthers on October 2 and 3. They open the season on U.S. soil October 8 in Detroit and their home opener is October 10 against the Colorado Avalanche. The team will have two extended road trips: November 19 - 28 and January 17 - 30.
Be sure to let us know if you're also headed to this weekend's sold out convention.

Kopecky's a big free agent? He's a 4th line winger.
Marcus, you would do yourself a favor if you limited your ignorance to politics.
tell me how you really feel?
considering this is the only 2 moves the Hawks have made, I'd say it adequate for Marcus to call them 2 big moves. the dude has experience as a winner and if he can stay healthy, he can definitely have impact next season.
They also signed John Madden.
