Today's Weather: Crankypants

Well. Summer was nice while it lasted, no? Those overnight showers that many in the northern part of the area saw aren't exactly a thing of the past: they're still around this morning and the NWS says we still have a 60 percent chance of rain today. Highs might top out in the mid-70s and a look at the extended forecast shows that today might provide the highest temps we'll see for a few days. So...Late August is the new Late September? A chance of showers is likely into the night-time hours with lows in the mid-60s. But in a summer where the Cubs get spanked by one of the worst franchises in baseball, what else can you really expect, people?
