Chicagoist Podcast 6/7 - Adam Carolla & Chris Hardwick, Just For Laughs
By Karl Klockars in Arts & Entertainment on Jun 7, 2010 5:20PM
In another star-studded entry to the Chicagoist Podcast Series we've managed to wrangle two of the biggest stars in the firmament of the podcastery universe in advance of the TBS Just For Laughs festival. Oh, and they happen to be funny as well, in addition to the fact that they'll both be here in Chicago next week for the festival, so prepare you calendars appropriately.
First, the Adam Carolla Podcast (now the Adam Carolla Show) is one of the most popular podcasts in the world, with millions of downloads per month and somehow we managed to squeeze 20 minutes out of the guy to spend time with us to talk about his appearance at the Park West, about clocks in cars, about radio program directors and everything else wrong with...well, everything.
After that, Chris Hardwick hosts the Nerdist Podcast, appears on Web Soup and Attack of the Show and also carved out a chunk of time to sit down with us and talk about his appearance at the Vic Theater, about whether podcasts would kill the comedy record, about the art of conversation and why the hell it's so underrated, and when the entertainment world is going to catch up with the concept of "entertaining people sitting around and talking." Bonus coverage: The beards of Kyle Kinane and Zack Galifianakis!
