Olive Oil Poached Scottish Salmon - English peas, parsley root, baby carrots
We are looking to you, dear reader, to let us know where you'd like us to visit for our Food Pr0n series. Any restaurants in particular have you curious? Comment below or Twitter lstolpman. Here's a reminder of where we've been:

Alinea
Three bucktown restaurants I'm curious about:
Think Cafe
the new Cuban restaurant on Western near Lyndale (may not be open yet)
La Isla Rosas (Peruvian place near Armitage and Western).
Cuban restaurant on Western ... are you thinking Bolero? That's not new, though it has been through an owner or two in the last five years. I've always thought it was kind of dumpy. Personally, I prefer the little hole-in-the-wall Thai place two doors down.
How about Nandu? Has their moment passed?
It's not Bolero, It's accross the street and south a little. They're painting murals on it now.
Ah ... hadn't noticed the new place. I'll have to take a look.
Think Cafe is our favorite in all of Chicago! Great great food. Always love the seafood and pastas!! so nice
How about Bonsoiree in Logan Square?
Wendy's on Addison and Western, I hear they have these delightful things called "frosties"
It ain't new, but how about Tiffin?
Schwa? did you do that already?
Great suggestions - please keep it coming!
@mike_thoms - No, haven't taken pictures there. I asked once about it and they were concerned about the flash possibly disturbing patrons (because the place is very small) but I may ask them once more, to see if they might let me into the kitchen. I really liked my meal there.

Those Schwa photos we ran recently came from Rachelle: http://chicagoist.com/2009/05/18/chicagoist_foor_pr0n_schwa.php
She also did Alinea seeming eons ago:

Publican!
Allow me to live vicariously until I can allow the relative extravagence into my budget.

oops!
Oh! My bad on not listing Schwa and Alinea. I was clearly in a time warp.

How about Dixie Kitchen down in Hyde Park?
The one that is closing soon?
Is it? I didn't know. There's one in Evanston, too.
Yes, the Hyde Park location is closing. That strip mall is being re-developed. They own a Caribbean restaurant in either Hyde Park or Kenwood, forget the name/exact locale.
Dixie Kitchen has one location in Evanston and another in a south suburb, forget exactly where.
How about Province --- good spot, interesting dishes and affordable . . .could use some love
I'd love to see more spots in the vein of Hot Dougs. Obviously everyone knows of Hot Dougs, but hole-in-wall, wallet-friendly spots in offbeat corners of the city. Hidden gems, if you will. Because really, most of us can't afford to eat at Schwa and every magazine, web site, and paper cover the fancy foodie haunts. It'd be nice to see a mix of the dreamy with the accessible.
Along those lines, I nominate a place whose name I can't recall -- it's a really tiny hole in the wall Cuban place that makes great Cuban sandwiches (as one would expect). It's just south of Wrightwood and Pulaski. The whole restaurant is about the size of a conversion van.
You're thinking of El Cubanito.
Publican.
You're gonna get more than your fair share of Publican-related items starting next week., matty. Food pr0n might be in the works.
How about a theme?... like afterwork spots in or near the Loop with great deals. I was trying to find a spot to meet a friend where we could get great and drinks cheap. I found out about Market, Smith and WolA Mano ($5 bar menu), Bin 36 (occasional specials; not sure if they still do te $5 pizzas on Thursday), Zocalo and a couple more. Something like that. Or a handful of the best cheap Mexican places. Or...well you probably get my drift.
Province. Market. C House. Or maybe Avec? ;)
Sola or Avec would be excellent additions.
Kuma's? Glenn's Diner? Hopleaf?
I second Hopleaf and nominate Mana Food Bar.
